Free People Opens Tomorrow in Saddle Creek!

The Memphis Daily News reports that Free People will open in the Shops of Saddle Creek tomorrow in Germantown.

You can read more about the opening there, which details store hours, Muddy's cupcakes, and giveaways. (woo hoo!)

Free People is owned by Urban Outfitters, Inc. which includes the brands Urban Outfitters and Anthropologie, both of which have moved into the area in the past couple of years (Urban Outfitters adjacent to Cooper Young and Anthropologie also in the Shops of Saddle Creek).

I think of Free People as sort of a moderately-high priced brand of clothing with a strong bohemian flair.

Here is a taste of the clothing you can expect to purchase at Free People:

Are you you excited to see Free People coming to town?

How do you feel about more mid-to-high clothing chains moving into the area?

One Month and Counting

The Memphis area's first Anthropologie store is slated to open next month.

The store, located in the Shops of Saddle Creek in Germantown, is taking over the space formerly occupied by Yia Yia's Eurocafe. The store has a large corner building near the intersection of Poplar Avenue and West Farmington Boulevard.

Anthropologie sells high-end women's clothing, furniture and accessories inspired by flea market and vintage finds, as well as other cultures. The retailer is run by Urban Outfitters, Inc., which operates their namesake brand as well as Free People.

The store should feel right at home with the other high-end retailers in close proximity including White House | Black Market, Ann Taylor Loft, Banana Republic and J.Crew.
