On Saturday, I checked out Day 1 of the grand opening of The Seen, 502 S. Second St. (at G.E. Patterson).
The Seen is a new fashion spot and lounge brought to you by Kim Brown (Urban Chocolate) and musician Corey "c'beyohn" Bailey.
The first opening day was MCed by singer Tonya Dyson and rapper Jason da Hater. C'beyohn performed with Memfist10 band. Moses Crouch and Artistik Approach also performed. Lots of Memphis talent was in the building.
There were also vendors including
Ties from Mo's Bows:
Original jewelry from Dare Threads Vintage:
Necklaces by artist/designer Brittney Boyd:
(I bought one of these leather bracelets because I am an awesome girlfriend. :-) )They're made by Lauren Scales of Graffiti Nail Bar. She also makes soap and does henna tattooing.
I got a quick photo of one of the stylists D'Leann.
Fashion sets were presented by her, as well as Lauren Keys and Kim Thomas of www.kpfusion.com.
Here's one of the models from Kim's style set:
And I snapped a photo of the always fashionable Tookie of Something Old, Something New.
Her dress is H&M, necklace from Dixon Gallery and Gardens.
From the shop I got a super cute brocade-style skirt (with the original tags intact!) and two adorable vintage high waisted skirts.
This green skirt was part of a kickass ensemble on Monday. On that note, I really should sprinkle in a few more Outfit of the Day posts.
Also bought these super cute Solange-esque sunglasses!
