When the comforts of home and family bring an alluring young woman back to what is known as The Flats, it is soon discovered that overwhelming jealousy also greets her in the old neighborhood that needs immediate attention. Set in what is presently known as the downtown streets of Beale and Fourth in Memphis, the play looks into the southern culture of the 1940s during World War II and deals with themes that are still a part of some cultures today. The old saying-"when you dig a ditch for somebody, you'd better dig one for yourself"- applies to the story's plot.   It is recommended for audiences ages 10 and up, as the dialogue rings true to the colorful cast of characters.
